Once infrastructure works are over, the Museum will also occupy the premises of the old Jean Macé school in Le Havre, located just beside the Museum. These premises will host new spaces open to all. The exhibition area will therefore be doubled and new Museum collections will be made available to the public through innovative, immersive and recreational programs – including specific programs for young visitors. The Museum library will be made accessible to the public again through documentation areas. Books and documentation tools will be at your disposal in the exhibition halls for a more in-depth approach of the themes covered by each exhibition. An educational garden will be located outside the new premises, providing a new activity area for everyone in the family.
This project goes far beyond the scope of the Museum. The expansion of the Museum will strengthen its role in the public domain and increase the recreational and cultural resources in the field of science in the City.
